Scorrybreac

Oil on panel 64 x 46 cm (25 x 18″)

I was lucky enough to land a well-placed hotel in Portree, on the Isle of Skye. a 5-minute walk brought me to a beautiful hiking trail, the Scorrybreac. A river otter crossed my path as I descended toward the bay, and the rest of the hike was just as wondrous. And I was the only one there, except for one couple, picnicking along the cliff overlooking the sea. The view I painted was as I climbed up away from the water and towards the farmlands behind. What a great day!
