oil on wood 33 x 50cm (13 x 19.5″)
During the Covid confinement in 2020, I often took walks down near the river nearby. One day a dense flurry of alder seed puffs filled the air and built up in snow-like drifts. It reminded me of other moments at the edge of the woods, when I was a child in Westchester. In summer there we lucky to witness clouds of fireflies, and so this is a dual representation of Nature’s magic shows.
