Guadalquivir

The Roman bridge in Cordoba crosses the Guadalquivir river on its way westward to Seville. At the time the bridge was built, the river was navigable from Cordoba; now  only down from Sevilla. The water is green from algae and minerals. In January, the rushes were golden and brown.
