I was in England this July, though not for the Olympics, but to visit family. Other than the charm of the people (and their noticeably better vocabulary), what I liked best was the country’s color scheme—everything was either a variation of grey, or bright bright green. Since that’s one of my favorite color combinations, my eyes were happy.
I stayed in a little village about 1/2 hr NW of London. There are no sidewalks, but rather, human-scaled country paths that take you through fields and hedges rather than alongside the road. I enjoyed a summery Pimm’s cup at the local pub, and enjoyed a day walking around London.
Love your watercolor sketches of your travels Diana!
